Excuses

Hey everybody! It has been what seems like forever and I haven't had a spare moment to get on blogger. Life has been pretty crazy because I have been deciding which school to attend for the 2012-2013 school year. I think that I have it sorted out now.

I got back from girls camp last Saturday and it was dry and dusty and dirty and hot and I got soooo sun burnt that I am peeling. But it was TONS of fun. I had a really good time getting away from technology but I missed my books. ALWAYS take a book no matter the consequences. I had a great time getting to know some people even if most of them were drama queens. Spending a week without technology with about 23 teenage girls can be torture some times.

I finally rearranged my room and it looks pretty good. I won't show any pictures because my room is unfinished, literally, like no real walls or a door, especially a door. But I made a little nook for my 1950's typewriter and easel. It is super nice, but my room STILL isn't clean.

Oh and on the fourth of July I get to see the Beach Boys in concert!!!... for free ;) Actually my school is doing this fundraiser where we go sell stadium chairs and get money for food and get to see the show for free. How cool is that?! It is a really good deal for both the school and me. So I am super excited for that.

I am currently reading Paranormalcy which is about vampires, werewolf's, and faeries you know the whole shabang but it is a love story/ thriller. It is amazing and I only have about one hundred more pages.

I just started reading drums, girls, and dangerous pie. Which is about a thirteen year old boy who plays the drums, has a crush on the hottest girl in school and has the most annoying little brother in the world but then his brother gets cancer. I'm only twelve pages into it so I don't have any further details than what the teaser told me.

On my to-read list I have:
Sweetly by Jackson Pearce (See anything strange?)

and
The Total Tradgedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne

  1. The total tragedy of a girl named Hamlet is a good book! By the way, if you get a really waterlogged version, it's the same one I read [though the water isn't my fault.] Drums, Girls, & Dangerous pie?!! That's one of the BEST books ever. It made me almost cry several times ... :-/ I get really emotional sometimes, heh heh. Enjoy!

  2. I loved both of those books! I didn't like the end of drums girls and dangerous pie though, because it was a cliff hanger! I hated it! It made me sooo mad! hamlet was waterlogged and it had a little bump and it made snapping noises when you pushed on it so it was like my little book button haha.
